Micro Meditations and more...

I have so much to tell you! The best news is I’m beginning a formal program (or two) for meditation – this combines email with video and audio support for your practice. I’m calling it Micro Meditations and it will begin on June 1st.  More details will be published as we officially launch into the program. This will be an ongoing program that you can opt-in and out of as you wish AND it is FREE. Please sign up using the linked text Micro Meditations. The program will offer practitioners who stay with Micro Meditations for 90 days the opportunity to deepen their practice by opting into another program designed to mentor you in various areas you may be working on, in person and by email.

I’ve been in a planning stage with community facilities in Surprise and Glendale to host my meditation programs and have yet to reach an agreement with any of them.  This is a slow process! Patience is necessary. What I’m finding is that there is a steeper learning curve about what meditation is and why it’s so vital that people have access to it within a community setting. Much of my time is spent educating and speaking about meditation alleviating fears and dispelling myths. That being said, I’ve set up a fundraiser to enable this process to sustain itself through this lengthy stage of development. I’m happy to say that since we began just soliciting a small sample of people a few months ago we’ve received our first $100 dollar donation and a set of well loved singing bowls. We’ve also facilitated meditation for several individuals with no charge to them – consider your donation a “paying it forward” for those in need of this service.

Onto the creative art! I’ve been painting some new pieces for the coffee cup series (4), and two watermelon paintings for this year’s Arizona Watermelon Festival, in downtown Glendale (June 2013) – my art will be hanging at A Shot of Java (7003 N 58th ave (rear), Glendale, Arizona 85301) June 1 - June 30.  I’m taking on commissions for the summer months – if you have something fun and funky you’d like painted, give me a call! 602-309-1915
An Art Affair, Barbara Love Newport’s art studio, is being considered for fall meditation and art classes – nothing has been set into stone yet but we have our heads together. Barbara facilitates Soul Collage ™ classes – if you haven’t attended one of her monthly free Community Gatherings you are missing out on something special in the West Valley.  Next one is May 19, 2013 – contact BSL4ART@aol.com to RSVP and for directions
I’ve completed my two year term of office with Agua Fria Community Artist’s non-profit organization and will be stepping down effective June1, 2013. I am grateful for this experience and wish the remaining Board much success in their onward journey advocating for art and community service.
Classes have been scheduled for the Fall session at P.O.R.A. Adult Learning in Sun City West (anyone can sign up and take these classes!). There will be a night time meditation class and two drawing classes – dates and times will be posted to my online calendar.
Direct Art invited me to display my art in the annual magazine publication – December 2013. That is absolutely the best way to wrap up an awesome year!

Future posts to this blog will contain updates so please subscribe - my newsletters will be quarterly (every three months) from here on out. You can always find out what's scheduled at the online calendar or from my website www.arizonaenergywellness.com.

Peace ~ Beth
